Follow these steps to install NeuroTrainer on Meta Quest Virtual Reality headsets.
1. Create Meta Account for your headset (if you haven't done so already)
- On your mobile phone, download the “Meta app” (Google Play (Android) Meta App | Apple App Store (IOS) Meta App)
- Click “Create New Account” in center of page
- Fill out the information and click “Create Account” (remember to save your login information - you’ll need it to sign into your headset)
- Check your email for verification email, and click the link inside to activate your account
- Sign back in to Meta.com using your credentials
2. Notify your NeuroTrainer Representative the email address that you used to set up your Meta account in Step 1
3. Check for invite email and accept invite
- Once you provide us with the email address associated with your Meta account, you will receive an email from Meta. This is your invitation to activate NeuroTrainer Quest.
- **CRITICAL: You must accept this invite from "FWD from Meta", Subject: "Release Channel Offering from NeuroTrainer on Meta" within 24 hours. (SAMPLE)
- It will say "To accept, click this link."
- When you click the link, you'll be taken to Meta.com where you will be asked to sign in. Once you do, it will tell you that you've been approved.
4. The NeuroTrainer App to appear in your Meta Library (can take up to 30 minutes)
5. Installing NeuroTrainer on Quest
You can install NeuroTrainer two ways: (1) using the Meta Mobile App on your mobile phone, or (2) directly inside your headset.
1a) If using the Meta Mobile App on your phone:
- Open the Meta App on your phone
- Open Store & Search for NeuroTrainer (NOTE: It can take up to 30 minutes for the NeuroTrainer App to appear in the Meta store from when you accept the email link)
1b) If using the Meta Quest VR headset:
- Once connected to Wifi, point your controller pointer to Store
- Scroll to the bottom of the Store list, allowing each row to load until you reach “My Preview Apps”.
2) For both methods:
- When you see NeuroTrainer, click "Free" and then "Install"
- Make sure your Meta headset is turned on and connected to Wifi.
- After a minute or so, you should see the app installed in your headset. If not, do the same search inside the headset on "Store" and follow the same steps.
